This material is rather unexpected. If you're used to Roman or Blue Chamomile, you may expect a bright, fruity smell (perhaps reminiscent of apples or herbs). But this raw material, especially the absolute, is more akin to labdanum and leather with a balsamic core and a slight, almost purple fruitiness. To me, it smells a little bit like shoe polish in a cobbler's workshop or something old and refined at the same time.
