Sometimes in perfumery higher purity isn't always better....or at least it depends on the context. I'll take a higher purity ethylene brassylate or linalool any day, but in this case a lower purity of dihydroambrettolide (aka juniper lactone) offers an interesting effect akin to using natural isolates (where small amounts of impurities actually make the profile more rounded and interesting).
