Luminide is IFF's new musk, and is really odd but instantly addictive, like costus root gently simmered for hours in clarified butter.
It's warm, dense, thick, unctuous and musky, with a slight amber component reminiscent of Ambrofix plus an internal brightness (one might even say...luminosity) related to materials like Tonalide and Celestolide.
Because it's awkward to handle at full strength and can take a whole day to melt, I’ll be selling it in two forms: pure, or at 40% in DPG/EtOH. But FYI, it’s fairly strong, and a 10% solution is surprisingly lively - as strong as musks like Ethylene brassylate are at 100%.
