A lovely sunny tropical rose note applicable in many places, from nuancing traditional rose accords, all the way through to big chunks of a honeysuckle accord, along with citronellyl propionate. Has a good role in muguet, geranium, peony etc. 
 
Of all the citronellyl esters, this is the softest and most supple. Citronellol itself is perfect but can be quite harsh especially if deployed at the wrong dose or without the correct surrounding context. Citronellyl acetate is amazing for muguet and has a lovely lemony sharpness.. The propionate excels in honeysuckle and other floral notes whereas this isobutyrate is even more rounded almost without an edge at all.
