Boozy, rummy, woody, slightly spicy
Perfect in vanilla fragrances, gourmands and of course alcoholic types.
One of the few materials that all by itself has an aspect of drunkenness to it. This is made from oak barrels which were previously used to hold cognac. With almost all oak extracts there is some water content., however Firmenich do what they can to keep this at a minimum and the product itself is blended with ethanol which makes the whole thing soluble in your onward creations. You may of course still get some cloudiness if you try and dilute it directly into something like DPG but in ethanolic/hydroalcoholic perfumery there should be no issues especially after filtration and fining.
