Deep purple oozing fruits.
I first encountered this material while working at an IFF lab, and was bowled over by its rawness. Of all the crotonate esters, this one most firmly connects to the volatiles you might get as fruits ripen (and over-ripen). Its main uses beyond direct fruit accords would be boozy and rum notes as well as leather compositions.
