Michelia champaca L. 
 
Pretty much the most powerful of all the white florals (despite not really being white). This absolute is extremely sultry, a deep orange-black in colour.
 
The price of this means that it isn't usually a beginner item. That said, in use it ends up being quite economical, a 10% solution being experienced as perhaps equivalent to a 20% solution of a jasmine abs.
