Methyl tuberate is a bit of a misnomer - this material can certainly work in white florals, but it can paradoxically ruin tuberose fragrances too. I think of it more as a waxy, dry lactone - as if you had taken a 'fruity' lactone like aldehyde C18/Gamma Nonalactone or Delta Decalactone and dessicated it. In fact, chemically speaking, it's a methyl version of gamma nonalactone.
