This material is expensive but...mindblowing? Be aware that it is not some sort of natural facismile of 2-acetyl Pyridine but much more valuable: for me, it's the smell of the corn husks in popcorn, the almost woody backnote missing from most artificial accords. Popcorn absolute is also bizzarrely helpful in other areas - whisky and almost all booze notes, cereal and gourmand creations, dusty apocalypse scenes. 
 
Despite the amount of popcorn inevitably strewn across the floor of my local cinema after a film, this absolute is actually quite tricky to make. The yield is very low and full of fatty acids, which must be removed. The final extract is sold at 40% in ethanol, which is sufficient to keep cloudiness at bay.
