A relative of Boisambrene super (Amberwood Forte), hydroxyambran and other alkyl and alkoxy-cyclododecane structures, Palisandin is a very elegant, clean, woody note of good tenacity. 
 
It's mostly about the cedarwood notes but it also has a very intriguing tobacco and patchouli aspect as well. Useful for 'wet' accords as well as dry cigarbox style ones
