Darkly magical damasconaceous saffron note. With Safranal and regular damascones so restrictred, this molecule has become very useful in rose, spice and oud accords but can find uses in boozy notes too (try it in a red wine accord with diethyl succinate and cyclohexyl crotonate)
If you're really into your crocuses and want extra realism, do have a look at Methyl Cyclogeranate, the more piquant and woody cousin of this specimen. It's less fruity and stewed but more unripe and cassis.
